Peco Foods commences construction of feed mill in Arkansas
Peco Foods has commenced construction work for a feed mill in Northeast Arkansas a part of the US$165 million poultry project.
Construction of the feed mill began on June 15 and is expected to be completed within 18 months, while construction on the poultry processing plant is planned to start on September 1.
The fully integrated poultry complex is expected to open in 2016. The complex includes a processing plant, a hatchery in Pocahontas, a feed mill, state-of-the-art water treatment and protein conversion facilities in Corning, Arkansas.
As the eighth largest poultry processing company in the US, Peco Foods processes about 24 million pounds (10,886 tonnes) of poultry each week.
